The Mission

At Strength Scholar, our mission is to bring science to the gym by bridging the gap between cutting-edge research and actionable training practices. We believe that true strength is built on a foundation of rigorous, evidence-based insights made simple for everyday application. By demystifying complex studies and transforming them into clear, practical strategies, we aim to empower athletes, coaches, and fitness enthusiasts to optimize their performance and achieve sustainable success. Our commitment is to deliver reliable and nuanced information that not only informs but drives measurable improvements.

Tino Janikov, Ph.D.

Tino holds a Ph.D. in kinanthropology from Charles University in the Czech Republic, where his research examined how intra-session training volume combined with rest duration affects acute repeated jump performance in trained individuals.

Since 2010, he has worked with a wide spectrum of athletes—from elite competitors in both individual and team sports to recreationally active individuals—helping them achieve measurable improvements in speed, strength, muscle growth, and overall resilience.

Currently, Tino competes in raw powerlifting under IPF regulations. His firsthand experience beneath the bar complements his extensive coaching and research expertise, fueling his mission to challenge oversimplified approaches and misinformation in training-related content.
